John Masters has been a pioneer in green hair care since the 1980s. His company created shampoos, conditioners and pomades from organic-certified ingredients. John's salon is the only clean air salon in NYC. That means, no perms, bleaches or relaxers, and the hazardous chemicals that emanate from them. It makes sense that if something could be "harmful or fatal if swallowed" you wouldn't want to put it on your skin.

John is one of many green participants at The Green Show at Eco-Fashion Week in 2009.
